Kelman' Vineyard is a truly unique and different vineyard.

To produce our exceptional wines for Kelman's discerning owners, the vineyard practices are of the highest standards. Our 'hands on' approach and for the grape quality to be maintained at a premium, all the pruning, canopy management, fruit thinning and harvesting is done by hand.

With the vineyard close to dwellings we use natural disease resistance, by regular soil and tissue analysis, nutrients are added when needed. Wherever possible the soil amendments we use are organic products, such as compost and seaweed formulations. Any chemical use is at a minimum and soft disease protection and control options are selected.

Water for irrigation is collected from the run off from the homes and roads and stored in our dams. The dams are a haven for ducks and wild foul. The water is treated and recycled while used efficiently and carefully to develop optimum berry size and flavour.

The Kelman landscape is a picturesque vineyard dotted with the homes of the owners, each in Kelman's unique style of architecture, with stylish weatherboard homes designed to be sensitive to the environment and ambience of the estate.

For you, the wine consumer, you can be assured that our home is well maintained and environmentally friendly with an aim of producing the perfect grape to make our exceptional wine.
