At The Waters Edge - Exhibitions and Shows As part of History Week 2008, we are celebrating the momentous occasion when in January, 1836 Charles Darwin discovered the Platypus on the Cox's River while staying at the home of James Walker on his "Wallerowang" property.
An exhibition of Local Student Works from local schools will be displayed at Eskbank House and Museum. The Exhibition is open to all age groups and students may use any medium. Students may also wish to include a story on either; the discovery of the platypus with their artwork or a traditional indigenous story.
The works will be displayed in the Enclosed Courtyard Gallery at Eskbank House &andMuseum from 17-28 September, 2008.
Students and teachers will be invited to attend the launch of the Exhibition at 4.00pm on Wednesday 17 September, 2008.
