GuideDrive provides self drive CD based audio tour guides.
This is a new concept catering for those motorists keen to be independent and not to rely on organised tours.
It is ideal for the local market, day tourists from further a field and for those who want to night- stop in the area.
These tours are designed as a round-trip, can be joined at any point and visitors can do as much or as little of the tour as they want.
The audio commentary on a CD is broken up into tracks and run on the car's stereo player. It describes the history, geography and points of interest of each particular sector of the tour. In the accompanying booklet each sector has its own simple map with detailed driving directions. An overall map of the region rounds off the package.
Each tour covers 60 - 100 kilometres and takes 4 to 6 hours depending on individual interests and tastes.
