Why go there
Corner Country straddles New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia at Camerons Corner, the official junction of these three states. Stretching outwards from the site is the 5,614-km Wild Dog (Dingo) Fence, the longest fence in the world.
A scenic drive to this outback intersection cuts through vibrant sandstone escarpments and rolling red dunes. Tibooburra, about 145 km south-east on the edge of Sturt National Park, is surrounded by striking desert scenery and wildflowers (in season). This old gold-rush town, founded in 1881, has an interesting old courthouse, pub and Aboriginal history.
